For the first time ever, The Naples Zoo has penguins! We visited our new guests on Wednesday, November 15th, 2017 to shoot some footage for a promotional campaign. We spoke with Tim L. Tetzlaff, Director of Conservation and the son son of Zoo Founders Jungle Larry® and Safari Jane®. Tim educated us about this species of African penguins and the conservation efforts under way to help them.
Here is some more info according to www.napleszoo.org/penguins:
"The penguin exhibit, designed by Virginia-based Animal Interaction Design Group, in partnership with Naples Zoo’s staff, is slated to run through April 15, 2018. The special exhibit will be included in regular Zoo admission. It features naturalistic rock work, ledges and irregular surfaces, and a pool for swimming."
